Tender Autopsy

One closed tender. One clear answer.

Most outcome letters tell you that you lost, not why. We read your tender the way the panel did and show you what to fix before your next bid.

For a tender that has closed

Tender Autopsy

$2,495 + GST

Fixed fee for one tender. Report within one week.

We read your full response against the request documents, criterion by criterion. Then we tell you plainly where the points went.

  • The gates first: compliance and mandatory misses that stopped your bid before it was scored.
  • Our estimate of how each criterion scored, and the evidence the panel needed to see.
  • The gaps, missing documents and inconsistencies an evaluator would notice.
  • What you did well, so you keep it in the next bid.
  • A written report with priority fixes, and a walkthrough meeting to take you through it.

Read by someone who has marked bids

We read it the way the panel did.

BidBuddy is led by Sue Findlay: 30 years in procurement and 23 of them writing tenders. She has scored bids from the buyer's side of the panel. She knows what a panel looks for, and what it marks down.

Losing a tender is expensive. Losing the next one for the same reason costs more.

Questions before you buy

Which tenders can you review?
Any tender that has closed, in any industry, at local, state or federal level. One tender per Autopsy. The more recent it is, the more useful the fixes are for your next bid.
What do you need from me?
The request documents and everything you lodged. That covers the RFT or request, any addenda, the response template, and your full response with pricing and attachments. If you received an outcome letter or a debrief, send that too.
Can you tell me exactly how the panel scored it?
No. Only the buyer has the panel's scores. Our scores are an estimate against the published criteria. A debrief with the buyer is the best way to confirm them, and we show you what to ask for.
Will you look at my price?
We set out the price facts on the public record, such as the winning price in a council award report. Sue adds what she has seen in 23 years of writing tenders. We do not tell you what to charge.
Is my bid confidential?
Yes. We use your documents only to review your bid, and we do not share them. We delete them when we are finished.
How long does it take?
Your written report arrives within one week of your upload. We then walk you through it in the meeting you booked.
What is the difference between the Tender Autopsy and the Evaluator's Eye?
The Evaluator's Eye reads a live tender before it closes, so you can fix it before you submit. The Tender Autopsy reads a tender that has already closed, so you know what to change for the next one.
Can you guarantee my next tender wins?
No, and anyone who does is guessing. We show you where the last one gave away points, so the next one does not.
How do I pay?
Online by card, using the Buy now button above. The fee is fixed at $2,495 + GST for one tender. If you prefer us to send you an invoice, contact us.
